Had mine fully, and unlocked a few things. It was fun to play yes. I beat all the levels and I learned some jobs clash and click. Just like with skills and armor and such.
The rot, what I do is keep a good watch on myself, companions and pet, heal them quickly before the rot took it over.
The zombie rot you can also find too. You can find the companions on level 2 I believe 6 or 7 not sure. and of course raise the dead if your necro.

Except you can only raise one dead at a time (unlessof course you have more than one Necromancer in your party), and then you can't heal them when they take damage.

Right forgot to mention that. Druids are good for recarnation, but you can only do it once if I'm not mistaken.

Reincarnation is a pain, since it'll spawn a random creature. Your big bad barbarian brute can come back as a dungeon creep, and you wouldn't want that.
I liked this game, but got myself supremely sick of it. There's almost too much randomness in it, very little documentation to explain which stats do what, and several of the classes are just pointless (paladin, fortune-teller, adventurer) while others like necro, bard and assassin are so overblown as to break the game. Companions, incidentally, are found on floors 2 and 5.

I definitely agree about reincarnation. That's why I still firmly believe there ought to be a way, even if a little more difficult, to straight out revive a character when they die. Maybe it could be an NPC who charges for it the way the Dragon Warrior games do. And I definitely agree about certain classes being completely useless. The game definitely has balance issues. And the sound effects could have been a lot better. As it is when a creature takes damage from a physical attack it often sounds like they're just getting slapped in the face. Thenof course when someone dies and te body falls to the ground it sounds like nothing more than someone dropping a hard rubber dumbell on an uncarpetted tile floor, regardless of whether the body belongs to a wimpy Goblin or a huge dragon. Thankfully the music, even if not very varied, is of a much higher quality. It's definitely worth fighting through the first24floors to hear the music on the final floor. You do get a sample of it during the intro but not, in my opinion, enough to really appreciate what a hauntingly beautiful piece it is. It makes you feel as though you really are exploring some long-lost city and that its inhabitants may have had unwanted help with the business of vanishing. And then of course it's worth taking one's time during the final battle to see her use Transform and hear her epic battle theme. If you do that though just be ready for some really nasty spells.

It's also got the most reasonable policy if you should happen to get anew computer. All ou do is install the game on the new machine and, from the game's main menu itself, log into your account again andit'llautomatically activate the full version.

i have been playing for a month or so now and have started over loads of times. i am a fighter mage and i do suggest that you rest often. if you don't already know, u press R to rest, and u also need to save your game often or set it to save after each fight.

Also, notice how there is no difference between male and femal characters? Or human and nonhuman, for that matter.

Whatever you do, don't feed your undead companion a healing potion. I did that the other day just to see what would happen, and watched as it literally tore itself limb from limb right in front of me.

I think trying to heal an undead with magic will do the exact same thing as giving them a healing potion. At least if I remember correctly, as I haven't played in quite some time.

That's fairly standard in RPG's. curative items and spells tend to be deadl to the undead. And there is actually a difference between human and nonhuman characters. There's loads of diifferece between say a human and an ogre. Ogres are bigger, slower and stupider but can take more of a beating. Then you have Fairies, who are extremely weak but veryy fast and their MP is insane if you can manage to keep them alive long enough to gain enough levels.

I prefer the ogre approach. That way, when I'm dealing with a boss, I can get a fair amount of damage on him, if I'm lucky. My Fairy attempt just died a few minutes in.
